Schulman Bhattacharya Expands Litigation Team with Addition of Maryland Court of Appeals Law Clerk

Schulman Bhattacharya, LLC is proud to announce the hiring of a new associate attorney who will be resident in the Firm’s Washington-area headquarters office. Mace Phillips joins the Firm after clerkships with the Honorable Brynja M. Booth of the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Honorable Stephen H. Kehoe of the Circuit Court for Talbot County. While clerking, Mace worked extensively on complex commercial cases, as well as cases in the areas of land use, insurance, bankruptcy, consumer protection, and tort liability. He graduated with honors from the George Washington University Law School in 2018, where he was a managing editor of the Journal of Energy and Environmental Law. He holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Government & Politics and English Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park. He also earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy in 2015, where his studies focused on environmental policy and international development.
